Takes a lot for a woman to bake a cake these days. You must be fitter than you look

Good Evening!

Had a wonderful day so far! Been testing my new bake machine, and it was soooo handy! I swear I shall never buy bread again. From now on, I will bake everything in this machine!
You just throw in everything needed for the bread, the cake or whatever, and the machine fixes a nice and handy dough for you. All you have to do is stuff it into the oven - and sim-sa-la-bim - you're done!

Tonight I will watch 'Lewis' and the pop choir contest 'Körslaget! - mainly because some of those attending in one of the choirs are local boys and girls. I'm sure it will be fun. We're also gonna enjoyr our evening with some B&J

In the long run we're all dead

A very Good Afternoon to you!

What a shining day it is! Sat on the balcony for half an hour, enjoying the beautiful sunshine, digesting my daily dosis of columns from around the world. So calm and peaceful outside......

Did you read Richard Swartz' column in D.N. today? If not - you should http://www.dn.se/ledare/kolumner/var-tids-religion.
"My old mechanical typewriter I could repair. Or bend the typebars correctly again whenever they crossed. In case my computer chrashes, I'm as helpless as perhaps the staff who now risk their lives in Fukushima."
He has a point when asking how we can let our lives depend on someone pressing the right button at the right moment.
Charles Darwin concluded, that in the long run, nothing that's against Nature will consist. That's not just a theory ......

Look at that. It's either blood or he's a messy eater

Hi there! - It's me again :P

Is there anything as wonderful as a Saturday morning filled with newspapers, solid breakfast and an affectionate Tiger!?! - No! This really is another moment.
What's my definition of solid breakfast? - Easy: Coffee, blueberry soup, orange juice, bread, dark chocolate, a cake or 2 and some fresh fruit. I'm a continental girl.

Following the development in the Libyan affair and the latest from Japan. I also studied the local newspaper. Alas I can conclude, that they didn't follow my call to digg into the miserable snow grubbing situation in this town. I'm seriously thinking of terminating my subscribtion. I mean - if they don't care what their readers would like to read about, and just keep this politically correct attitude, I think they can take a swim in their own lake and I'll stick to mine.

I went to London once, to see the Queen. She was a bit smaller than I imagined, but as we both know size isn't everything

A very good Saturday morning to you!
I hope you enjoyed your Friday night.
Couldn't quite decide whether to sleep in the bed, or simply lay down on the couch. I ended up with the bed choice. More comfortable, and anyway falling asleep in front of Telly isn't my style. I leave that to the men.
Tiger was on his alert already at 5, so I went up to feed him, and went back to bed again :P
Now I can see that we've had a ton snow again. I'm getting a bit tired of this. I want spring - and spring is not white - spring is green!

We're lucky we got anything at all. I don't think Buddy Holly's much of a waiter

Hey there! How are you?

Weekend .... Relax and do what you like for 3 nights and 2 days. Don't we just love it!?! We work hard for 5 days to get this far. Not sure how to spend all this free time :P Got some reading to do and of course the usual sweep-over-and-soap manouver. The later does not really fit into my favorite dream scenario. I honestly hate the must do's that come with being grown-up and responsible.
Got a new bread / cake / desert / machine from my dear colleague, Thomas, who's moving back to where it all started, sadly enough. I'll miss him. Gonna test this fancy new equipment tomorrow or Sunday. Tonight I don't want to do anything else but relax and enjoy that I have 3 whole nights ahead of me, before rewinding and starting all over again.

Catch up with you later!

That's an interesting point. Come on, let's get into character

Good Evening!

I hope you've had a good day. Sorry about the lousy updating today. I've been off the premises all day. Got home to a nice surprise though. Opened the door, and it was pitch dark, and wow - husband sat there on a chair waiting for me :D a day or 2 earlier than expected.

Took a test today and scored 100%. Wiii! I'm proud of me!

Last time we spoke about ice-cream, I mentioned Ben & Jerry. Look what I got in my freezer :P

Will chit-chat with husband and Tiger a bit more and spoil myself with chocolate pancakes and Ben & Jerry!

Catch you later.........

You, flock of seagulls, you know why we're here?

Hi there,
It's me again!
How's your evening?
Having fun?
I'm resting, reading, playing with Tiger and making myself comfortable, eating delicious ice-cream and canned peaches. Nams!

Tiger is so playfull this evening. He gets very eager and when that happens, he screams with a baby's voice. I haven't received any complaints from neighbours or Child Protection yet.......... :P
Anyway - I've decided to buy another cat. Tiger needs a little friend to play with. Just need to get him get him neutered, otherwise I think he will be too dominant and scare off the new kitten. I want another Bengal. I like their mood. They like company and have good personality.

Emily has a Bengal as well - and another cat of indeterminate breed. Mitzi and Neija. They're sooooo sweet! I love them! They are of course everywhere, but Hey! Why not? Our cats are our babies, aren't they!?!

Here they are, the 2 irresistable dolls

Catch you later!

That's the Marilyn Monroe section that's Mamie Van Doren... I don't see Jayne Mansfield, she must have the night off or something

Hi there,
Sorry for the missing updates today. I've been sort of busy. But! Home from work now. Long day!

I live just a short walk from my work, so every morning I return to reality on foot. At nighttime it's still pretty cold here (minus 10- minus 12 degrees), but at daytime, temperatures raise to plus degrees. Naturally ice melts in the plus degree process, then freezes again etc. Unfortunately nobody cares about removing the dangerous ice from the sidewalks, so it is a miracle that I've managed to survive the winter untill now without breaking anything. The maintance is non-existing, which is strange, because the way I see it, I might be a silly pedestrian, but I do pay tax - and as far as I know, I pay the samme percentage as any car-owner. But obviously those responsible for maintaing our sidewalks never walk, how else can I explain their indifference to the physical health of those who do not have a car!?!

Whether or not what we experienced was an According to Hoyle miracle is insignificant

Bon Soir!

J'aime la crème glacée! Mmmmm! This is filled with strawberries..... - Not as good as Ben & Jerry's, which is the ice cream créme de la créme. My favorites are those containing sorbet. Nam, nam, nam.

Do you think I babble too much about deserts? - I do because I have a sweet tooth. I cannot resist cakes, ice-cream, sweets, chocolate yak, yak, yak :P I'm a sweets addict. Chocolate makes me smile. I always eat 2 pieces of dark chocolate with lemon in the morning. I believe it's good for my mental health.

I also love fruits - bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, plums, peaches etc. I eat lots of fruits every day. And I use fruits in warm meals. My speciality is omelette containing apples, rasberries / strawberries. That is soooo good. You can eat it in the morning or for dinner. Tasty fruit sallad is a must as a supplement to a pepper steak. The fruit balances the hot taste from the pepper.

Now over to a far more serious topic. The nuclear accident in Japan. All experts tell us that there's nothing to worry about, however, I am worried. Not for my own health or security, but for the Japanese. I cannot imagine what will happen in case of a worst-case scenario. And right now we seem to be moving dangerously close on the edge of the worst-case scenario. I'm not saying that the information we get from the Japanese authorities is in-correct, but it is very hard for me to believe that this will lead to a happy end after the 3rd reactor explosion this afternoon.

I watched a report from one of the towns that was swept away by the tsunami, and it was terribly sad to see people walk around in what used to be their homes, trying to pick up small bits and pieces of their lives.

We're now told, that EU will take initiative to overlook the security in all of Europes 145 nuclear plants. Could it be that the European politicians realizes that there might be risks here as well?

You know, walk the earth, meet people... get into adventures. Like Caine from "Kung Fu."

Hello again!
Hope your day is going well.
Been out for a walk in the beautiful weather and shopped at the local supermarket. Since I have a lot of sympathy for myself today, I mainly bought nice-to-have stuff (flowers, ice cream, fresh fruit, canned fruit etc.).

My little girl received her first retirement savings calculation information letter today. If she's lucky and works hard for the next 40 years, she might land on an amount that will get her bread for her life's winter. - On the other hand - in 40 years retirement might be just a word. Emily's generation will be forced to work till they drop 7 / 24 / 365 because of the debt circus and the financial mess this and previous generations are leaving behind us.

But you know -  Only after disaster can we be resurrected.

I don't go joy-poppin' with bubble-gummers! My friends can handle their highs!

Hey again!

Just woke up from a 3 hour long power-nap. The effect of the anesthetic is like getting a kick from a horse. I feel fine. Not too many pains...... and actually getting a bit hungry now..........

Check out this adorable weather! It's 20 degrees on my balcony....... I smell spring!

Time for a walk and some necessary shopping. - And some ice cream!

See you later!

I once asked this literary agent, uh, what kind of writing paid the best... he said, "Ransom notes."

Hello there! A very good day to you!
Spent my morning in the hands of the dentist. One side of the head anesthetized and minor pains ahead. It will be good when reaching the Grande finale.
In appr 1 hour, I will be able to sipp coffee (longing for that) and eat a slice of something (not THAT hungry). Bought some plums and some real good orange juice to spoil myself with. Need empathy - and chocolate might not be the answer today. But Hey! The sun's shining, I'm free of work today, my room is filled with books, the cat is cozy - what more can I ask for?

Uncomfortable silences. Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable?

When updating blogposts, the hardest part is to select the title. If you're an extremely creative person, you might be able to shake out poems of your sleeve around the clock. I'm not that clever :P
I admit it. I'm a copycat. I 'borrow' from those whose thoughts came faster than mine. I've got some favorites. Guess who they are and we'll see how clever YOU are xP

Blogging or updating your status on fb is not about having a superior intellect. It's about finding something that you can relate to - something that tells something about you. I read many blogs and a lot of fb status updates every day. I like when the 'owner' has something personal to say. It's irrelevant what we - the readers - would like to hear and see.
Sometimes I get the feeling that we only appreciate people for what they are, not for who they are. That's sad. My favorite fb button is 'I Like'. People laugh at me and make comments to the fact that "you'll always get a 'like' from Charlotte". But hey! Pressing the 'I like' button is my way of telling you, that I read what you had to say, and that I appreciate the time you spent sharing it with us.

Finally - and I promise you - these are the last words you're gonna hear from me today - I'd like to mention my favorite blog http://syntheticdarkness.blogg.se/, written by Emily. It's such a good example of a blog where the owner shares just about everything going on in her life and her mind with her readers, in words and pictures.

Oh, sorry - one more word:
Good night xD

Oh, I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?

Hey there! - It's me again, trying to make up for the lost time :P

Guess this is trivia for you, but I use this blog to talk about anything that comes into my mind.

When I come home, I always put my coat on the floor because the first thing Tiger wants to do is cuddle and hug. Today was business as usual, only, I forgot to hang up my coat and went straight over to other things such as answering the phone, putting the kettle on, preparing dinner for Tiger and myself etc. And I see him jump around in the hallway, playing with something. Guess with what?!? - Bingo! My fur coat.
I got a coupple of nice pictures of the little boy having fun.

"What" ain't no country I've ever heard of. They speak English in What?

How have you been doing? I hope you enjoy your Monday!
I've had a good day!
Just came back from the hairdresser. I love getting my hair done! I leave it to the stylist to do whatever style she feels for. It's fun leaving the control in the hands of a professional. It's all about trust - and I trust my hairstyler 100%.

Not the easisest angle to shoot from :P

You are aware that there's an invention called television, and on this invention they show shows, right?

Hi there!
How are you doing? Enjoying your Sunday? - I am!
Got a link from Emily where I can watch my favorite tv-series 'Gillmore Girls'. I just love these ladies. Think I can identify myself quite a lot with Lorelai

Don't watch much television. I tend to turn it on and then leave.... after 5 minutes I turn it off again. I prefer dvds of my own choice. Most tv-programmes being broadcasted are reality shows. I never get to comprehend why people have such a need to expose themselves in compromising and degrading situations for 15 minutes of fame. It's amazing!

Anyway - As mentioned, I cannot resist Gillmore Girls, Inspector Frost, Inspector Lewis and Midsomer Murders. They tend to thrill me

Tonight I'll be watching Midsomer Murders, I think. Just for a couple of hours before I go to bed :P

Will catch you sooner or later!

Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast

I'm crazy about my cat. Love him so much. And I spoil him!
Bought sweets for Tiger as well today. Mmm ...... Delicious! - Ususally he's not a fan of any of the dry food tablets on the market, but I managed to find something that contains salmon, and he just ate half of what was in his bowl. On top of that, I got him some bisquits that are good for his teeths, and he eats them like candy.

I just noticed that he's been sitting in the window, playing with the content of a flowerpot. There's dirt all over the windowsill and on the floor. Now I got to do the sweeping manouver again. Tiger! You little sinner!

How much can you know yourself if you've never been in a fight? I don't wanna die without any scars

Beautiful day this is. Done with laundry and went out for a quick walk to get some lunch for tomorrow and some sweets. Completely out of chocolate (and ciggs - but that's less important). Wanted to run to the gas station, but changed my mind and went to the supermarket instead to get what I need.

Now I can continue to read and enjoy my day off.
Will catch up with you later!

What's up there? - "The view. -The view of what? The view of down here? I can see that down here

Yes, I do read the comments that you make :P Thank you btw.
I was looking for a movie to kill the tristesse, and 'In Bruges' came up. Here's the official trailer. Enjoy!

Sometime not long ago on a day like this

Burning incense because Tiger left a couple of stinking bullets ... I use vanilla, lavender and magnolia incense to kill the smell. Of course the smell will still be there - I just can't smell it, because the vanilla smell will overrule the smell of s#@t.

Avoiding CNN and NBC news and stick to the Swedish news programmes, because I feel they are more balanced and serious in their reporting. Stick to facts you know - avoid rumours.

I am not afraid to show you who I am

Good morning!

Decided to get up early and enjoy my day off for full. Sun's up and I've been reading the morningpaper. Feels like good today!
My horoscope for the day says
"You feel totally piled on right now, but the good news is that many of these demands are likely to fade away by tomorrow. Just deal with whatever seems most pressing to you and see how it goes"
I'm sure it refers to the dirty laundry that's waiting for me in the hallway, I'm sure :P
Shall deal with it and get it done. It's a hate-to-do job, but someones gotta do it, and husband aint here!
Now more coffee and breakfast!

Catch up with you later!
