Very interesting! You know when the Swedes came to the States in the late 1900s, many of them ended up in northern Minnesota, including my grandfather and his brothers. But why? It's very cold; lots of snow; and the terrain is too rocky to be much good for farming. It must have reminded them of wherever they came from in Sweden! These are beautiful shots and they do look a lot like the woods on my grandma's farm!Hope you have a wonderful week!
Thank you Jacob.- I think you're right. I think that Swedes over all are very connected to their hometowns or home county. Most of the young leave their hometown and move to Stockholm or Gothenburg or abroad. But after some years they return again and settle down with their families. I think their ties to the land are very strong.Cheers,Asta

Snow covered landscapes always appear very surreal to me. Especially since snowfall is alien to us, here in Mumbai.- Mindless Mumbai
