Climate change affects the weather

I took this picture this afternoon at 3.25 pm. At this time of year it's dark at 3 pm. Feels strange. I don't think I will ever really get used to it. - Ususally we have a couple of inches of snow by now, but this year is different. It's not even really cold either.

This is the student café 'Skutan'. Which is mine and Winty's favorite place when meeting for chat, coffee and cakes.

Cheers,
Asta

Like the student cafe, even if I'm a bit to old for it. It's a nice place... without the snow!

Which is very strange. It should be minus degrees, and yet it is fairly warm.......

We were -2.7 C this morning. The sun came out during the day and it was warmer. Your photo looks like a summer evening.

Lovely night shot, Asta! It gets dark early here, too, but not at 3 PM!

I think Lois and I would like this place, too!

Hope your warm weather continues for awhile!

Thanks for your kind words on Ocala DP. But I'm way too young to be a great-grandfather!

Hi Asta - this looks like a lovely place to hang out and meet friends. Make the most of the warm weather - it probably won't last! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Asta its difficult to imagine its 3pm in the shot.

Do you have daylight saving time or are you too far north for it to matter?

Looks a great place which your photograph really brings out.

What a beautiful photo! You just described how it's like in Finland ;) Can I ask where do you live? No need to respond, I'm just curious!

I like darkness, but I hate cold weather. And I don't live in Finland anymore :D

Scandinavia will seem strange without snow in winter, if that is what happens. Looks a nice spot for a chat over coffee.

The closer you get to the polar circle, the less daylight you'll have during the winter.
In the summer, you'll have no night, which is also a bit weird.

I believe the Russians call these summernights the white nights.

Asta

Over here in South-West Germany, we have just had the warmest November in 130 years.

I guess a lot of darkness is rather gloomy, but the twilight in this photo looks rather nice.

That is a wonderful photo. I think it would take a lot of getting use to getting that dark so early :)
