What the heck is a black bean plant? Does it actually produce black beans and can you eat them. Boy, I sure am ignorant about a lot of things.

Maybe I got beaned by a black bean when a kid?

Unfortunately this plant doesn't grow in my garden. I found it in the 'bothanical' garden in Jaervsoe. I'm not sure that you can actually it the beans, but I think it is a very beautiful plant.
